How it works
In a bend part of the tyre’s grip goes into turning the car. Braking shifts load to the front axle and the rear wheels get lighter — with worn tyres at the rear, the rear loses grip first and the car spins. With worn front tyres, the car won’t turn and runs straight out of the bend.
